Hope Center West is creating a “Live, Work, Play, Learn and Worship Community” that will appeal to professionals and young families and ultimately spur growth in the Washington Shores area. It will be a magnet for jobs, attract brand name commercial and retail industries, strengthen local businesses and promote a quality urban lifestyle.
The development is comprised of four tracts. The first is Economic Impact. The centerpiece of the Economic Impact Tract is a Walmart Neighborhood Market. The grocer will serve as anchor for up to two banks, restaurants, an entertainment center, a community police station and several retail establishments. Along with the professionals that will utilize this area, this will spur economic impact in the Greater Washington Shores area. In addition to improving business growth and overall quality of life, Hope Center West will produce more than 400 jobs and replace the “Food Desert” with an oasis of health and wellness food choices.
This ambitious, community-minded development project is designed to fill a wide range of needs facing the Washington Shores area. The other three tracts of Hope Center West will address needs in the areas of Housing, Spiritual Development and Education. The project is scheduled to break ground in summer 2012.
